The reality about crypto bots
Legitimate trading bots exist and can be useful. However, 95% of the "miracle bots" sold online, on Telegram or on social media are scams. The difference is in the details.
Scam signs
- They promise guaranteed profits ("earn $500 a day doing nothing")
- They ask you to deposit money on their platform
- They donβt explain how the strategy works
- They use fake testimonials and edited screenshots
- They require high upfront payments
- They offer no trial period or demonstration
Legitimate bots
Legitimate bots have different characteristics: open or audited source code, no guaranteed-profit promises, they require you to configure your own strategy, and they make clear there is a risk of loss. See our guide on how to create a trading bot to understand how they really work.
β οΈ Golden rule
If someone promises guaranteed profits with a bot, itβs a scam. Full stop. Financial markets are unpredictable and no algorithm can guarantee profit.
